The Golden Temple, known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, located in Amritsar. Golden Temple is built around the man-made pool (Sarovar) with the sanctum. The 12.25 x 12.25 sq. meter sanctum sits inside in Sarovar with two-storeys and a gold foil dome. This sanctum has a marble platform that is a 19.7 x 19.7 sq. meter and it’s approached by a causeway. At the beginning of the causeway the 6.2 m (20.3 ft) high and 6 m (20 ft) wide Darshani Deorhi Arch stands. Around the sanctum and the pool, Akal Takht and clock tower are the two buildings located in Temple complex.
